How can you help me?
Most mental and emotional distress and even some physical illness can be traced back to underlying anxiety, tension and stress arising out of an imbalance between your conscious beliefs and desires and the belief systems that exist below conscious awareness in the subconscious mind.
A clinical hypnotherapist uses techniques that allow you to directly access these belief systems and make positive changes. Listed below are some ways in which hypnotherapy can help you:
And much more! The whole process is very pleasant and relaxing. I use my voice to guide you through some visualisation exercises that are specifically tailored to treat the issue we are working with. This enables you to make the required changes to your automatic behaviour so that you can achieve the results you want.
How are you different?
There are many hypnotherapists out there. Here’s a short analysis as to what makes my approach unique:
- Accreditation: Many hypnotherapists don’t hold a government accredited qualification; I do. I also lecture extensively on the subjects of hypnosis, counseling and psychology at the Academy of Hypnotic Science in Melbourne.
- Specialisation: I specialise in weight loss, anxiety, depression, phobias and self esteem. My extensive expertise in these areas ensures you enjoy breakthrough results in a short period of time.
- My process is unique: My methodology is unique. I use a tried and tested analytical process to optimize your results based on years of clinical experience.
- I have a record of positive results: I’m happy to share case studies and references that demonstrate a record of success in many different areas.
What is the Success Rate of Hypnotherapy?
There is no treatment, conventional or alternative, that has a 100% success rate with 100% of the population. However, it is generally understood that statistically speaking, hypnotherapy has an 87% success rate.

How long have you been in practice?
I have been practising since 2003.
How do I know if I’m hypnotised?
You have probably been in a state of hypnosis many times throughout your life. Have you ever driven to work and then realised that you have almost no recall of the journey? Or maybe you were sitting in a lecture and you missed everything the lecturer was saying because you were daydreaming about what you were going to have for lunch?
In both of these examples, you are in a trance state. This is a natural, normal state that we all go in and out of, throughout the course of each day.
And just like daydreaming, you are aware of your surroundings when you are under hypnosis, only it’s as though you don’t care, or simply aren’t paying attention. In fact, it is normal to remember everything that happens during the session.
Can a clinical hypnotherapist take control of my mind or read my thoughts?
No.
In fact, nobody can "make" you do anything that you would not normally have a predisposition to do. You are in control at all times, and you can choose to end the session at any point. There are no "hidden doorways" to your deepest and darkest secrets available to any therapist, and hypnosis is not a ’truth serum’.
I have heard that some people cannot be hypnotised - is this true?
No.
All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Since we all enter a trance state every day, there is nobody who cannot be hypnotised. However, if you do not trust your therapist, or if for some reason you do not wish to enter a state of hypnosis, you will not do so. You are in control.
